This is where the famous aviator chose to live the last few years of his
life in peace and annonimity. This is also where he died and is buried,
giving specific instructions as to how he wanted to be buried. No big
monument, no road signs, an unmarked grave, were his wishes. A beautiful
spot. There is so much history and interesting folklore associated with the Hawaiian Islands. It is fascinating to learn all about it from our guides as you do one of our tours. There are many small simple churches dating back to the early 1800's some very impressive ones as well.
